Having studied an Advanced Diploma in Health Related fitness, I then continued to qualify in GP Referral and Cardiac Rehabilitation Phase 4. I spent several years working within the leisure industry setting up GP Referral and Phase 4 schemes, which to this day are running successfully. In January 2005 I was appointed as the exercise specialist for the Cardiac Rehabilitation Team in Portsmouth Hospitals. Since having gained experience in this area I have now set up several Cardiac Rehab Phase 4 exercise classes over the Hampshire area. These run over three separate venues and now consist of 70 patients all attending a minimum of one exercise session per week. As I'm sure you're aware as a Health Professional it is quite apparent that we should be promoting a healthy lifestyle so as either to significantly reduce the risk of another Cardiac Event or to help prevent the worsening of an already existing Cardiovascular condition.
